All politicians must undergo psychiatric tests before contesting In 2015 - Doctors.

The Nigerian Medical Association has recommended that all politicians, seeking various offices in the next general elections, should be made to undergo psychiatric tests to determine their mental state, Punch reports.

NMA, in a communique at the end of the National Executive Council meeting in Jos, said all psychiatric doctors had been advised to register with the Independent National Electoral Commission that will supervise such tests.

NMA National President, Dr. Kayode Obembe, who read the communique on Sunday, said such test had become necessary because of the manner some political office holders had conducted themselves.

9ice Loses APC Primaries... Releases Press Statement.

9ice has lost the APC House of Reps ticket today after the party’s primaries were conducted. He lost out to Prince Akeem Oyewumi, the son of the Soun of Ogbomosho. 9ice was planning to become a house of representative member at Ogbomoso North/South/Orire Constituency in 2015 before losing out today.

His camp has however denied he lost saying the elections is inconclusive. Find the press statement after the cut.

Crisis Hits Ogbomosho APC: 9ice, Wunmi others Primaries Election inconclusive

Abolore ‘9ice’ Akande has announced that the House of Representatives election took place at Ogbomosho today has not been concluded due to crisis.

It was revealed that crisis started when 9ice’s local government election wanted to start voting. So election has not been concluded.

The crisis made the officials to stop voting in Ogbomosho North, the local government 9ice hailed from.

“At this moment, winner of the election has not emerged.  Ogbomosho North delegates need to vote before the winner will be announced”, 9ice said.   

Election earlier took place in Orire and South constituencies. 

Those that took part in the election were Abolore ‘9ice’ Akande,  Oye wunmi , Deji Akande, and Isaac Agbomojo.

APC Officials have not announced when the last election would be held.

9ice is fighting for House of Representatives ticket under All Progressives Congress to represent Ogbomosho North, South and Orire Federal 1 Constituency .

20 girls have reportedly been abducted by Boko Haram members after an attack on Lassa community in Borno state.

According to a resident of the community, Daniel Ibrahim, who spoke with Sahara Reporters, the sect members abducted the girls on Wednesday Dec. 3rd after storming their community brandishing all manner of weapons including tanks and explosives, shooting sporadically, and burning houses

“They abducted more than 20 girls from our town and killed many people, mostly old men and women. They burnt almost half of the town before they left. Those of us who were lucky fled, but they massacred aged ones & younger men they could catch" he said.

A Military source said they were aware of the recent developments in Lassa.
